Kate Spade Baby Shower pt. 1

Hey Everyone!!! My dear friend, Alyssa, is about to have a baby girl. As soon as I found out she was expecting, I knew I had to throw her baby shower. The new mom to be loves Kate Spade, I knew instantly that would be her theme.

Since the party was after lunch I wanted to keep the dessert table simple. By making all the treats it saved me tons of money.  The stripe backdrop was made from wrapping paper that I found at Hobby Lobby. I bought clear thumb push pins for a quick hold. For the letter ‘B’, I found it at Hobby Lobby and purchased the fake flowers from the Dollar tree.  I pulled the stems off of each flower and glued them on. I think it really breaks up the stripes and makes it pop!  I have had a lot of people ask me where I purchased my gold sequin table cloth. I purchased it off Amazon. They have a lot listed, and some are quite pricey! I got this one for around $23. Just make sure you are paying attention to the size you are getting. I almost bought a table runner. I knew the price was to good to be true.

The adorable dessert stand was purchased at TJ maxx. They had several different sizes. I was wanting to buy more, but quickly was running out of room on my table. I didn’t want it to look to cluttered. Inside the dessert stand  are chocolate gems with an oreo layer. They are the perfect size to snack on! The black stands were purchased in the Target dollar spot. They also had white ones. Aren’t they perfect? And for $3, what a steal! I covered them in delicious treats like the  spade rice krispie treats. If that doesn’t say Kate spade I don’t know what does!! lol

I purchased edible images off of etsy for the chocolate covered oreos. They added the perfect touch with minimal work.  The cake is a simple red velvet with buttercream icing. I went to my local King Soopers, they always have the best variety of flowers. I was crunched for time so I quickly stuck the flowers in the cake. I wish I would have spent more time on the cake, but o well. Every one thought it was delicious, so that’s all that matters. Right?!

The baby rattle cakepops are my favorite! With a cakepop on both ends I stuck nerds in the paper straw. Giving it the rattle sound!! Each cakepop is covered in sandy sugar. You can purchase it online or at hobby lobby.  I had the sugar cookies made by a local cookie shop in town. They sure were delicious and very sweet.

Thank you for stopping by and reading about how I set up Alyssa Kate Spade dessert table. Be sure to head over to Part 2 to see how I decorated each table, games and prizes.   I couldn’t have pulled this event off with the help of my wonderful friends. We had craft night at my house a couple times before the shower and was a blast!
