Kate Spade Baby Shower pt. 2

Hey Guys!! This past weekend I had the honor hosting a baby shower for a dear friend. With a house full of boys, lets say I was beyond excited to throw a party for a baby girl! I rented out the clubhouse on base to provide plenty of space for the guest. If you are on base and wanting to host a party, make sure you check out your clubhouse. Every base that I have been on, has been free to rent and are usually very nice.  In case you missed my previous post. Make sure you check out part one of the baby shower . I went into detail about all the delicious treats and how I set up the dessert table.

I wanted to create a beautiful backdrop for the new mom to be. I knew everyone would be taking lots of pictures of her while opening presents. We used items that we already had around the house to create a bright and soft sitting area. Plus this adorable accent chair was a lot more comfortable than a folding chair.

My amazing husband never ceases to amaze me. Do you see that adorable balloon stand in the corner??  We placed a balloon stand on each side of the french doors leading outside. While my husband was in highschool he had a job making profession balloon arches. For every party we host we just have to a balloon display. We always get a lot of compliments on them. I am not sure how easy they truly are but my husband makes them look effortless.

For beverages we offered mimosas. Several guest were also expecting so they were alcohol free. The glass containers are from the Target dollar spot. I feel like everything I own comes from the Target dollar spot. Target gets me everytime. Anyone else?! I didn’t want to have ice cube out on the table. I froze the berries to make sure the mimosas kept cold.  The juice labels and mimosa bar printable were all free. You will be amaze how many free printables on pinterest. Do you have pinterest? >> I do!  Find me here!!

Each guest was given a personalized champagne glass. I took a kabob stick and glued a pom pom on top to stir the mimosa and to grab the fruit once the guest were finishing drinking their mimosa. I found adorable pre made bow that I attached to paper straws. I found the champagne glasses at the Dollar tree!! They were two for a dollar! Isn’t the mother to be flawless? She truly is amazing.

I wanted to layer each table with bold Kate Spade colors and patterns. Each table had a different Kate Spade printable in a gold frame. You can find all of the free printables {HERE}. Along with fresh flowers in a gold vase.  I just love how everything pop.

What kind of party is it, if you don’t have a photo booth? For the back drop I used wrapping paper and used push pins to attach it to the wall. I didn’t have to worry about tape coming lose or pulling the paint off the walls. I also made a simple circle dot garland. I usually see the garland sewn together, but I don’t have a sewing machine. Plus I wouldn’t even know how to thread it. Is that what you call it?! idk. I found the gold picture frame at an antique store for a couple bucks. It’s huge! And I knew it would be perfect for the baby shower!

Alyssa, the mom to be, wanted a little station where guest can write their address on envelopes for the thank you notes. I thought this was a genius idea, and it saved her a lot of time. She didn’t have to hunt everyone down for there addresses.

The head band making station was definitely the most popular part of the baby shower. I found everyone on amazon for dirt cheap. I didn’t realize how expensive bows can be?!  Everyone had a great time creating headbands. This wasn’t a quick game, each guest took there time creating their headbands and gave me a chance to get ready for the next game.

Thank you for stopping by and reading about my Kate Spade baby shower that I hosted for the amazing Alyssa! I would like to thank Ann for taking amazing pictures of the entire event. If you are in the local area make sure you contact Ann for pictures.
