Rustic Winter Table Display

I can’t believe it’s already December! I usually have the entire house decorated for Christmas right after Thanksgiving, but this year I am taking my time. Enjoying a little bit of it each day. Hopefully this week we can go buy our main Christmas tree.I love the smell of a real Christmas tree in the house.

I played around with a couple displays and I fell in love with this rustic set up. I still need to find cute christmas Rae Dunn plates. So for now we will just have mats. I think my husband will enjoy this better. Instead of moving plates out of the way to eat lol. I am still switching a few things out, but I love it. You might notice the random cooking times on the chalkboard. If I don’t write down when I put the food in the oven and when it’s meant to be taken out I will forget it lol

I bought the garland at Michaels Craft store. It’s wired so it easily bends and it had a few attached pinecones. The ‘frosted’ pinecones I bought separately and just laid them on the garland as a filler. To save some cash you can go outside and collect free pinecones. Make sure to bake the buggies out of them. There are tons of instructions on pinterest. The place mats came from Target dollar spot. I love them. I have used them a handful of times on different table settings.

Those adorable reindeer ornaments are from Target last year. I was only able to find two. They were a hot item. Along with those dollar spot ski’s? Remember those? My dog chewed one up last year. Ugh! Of course Target didn’t restock the dollar spot with those adorable ski’s!

I can’t wait for Jeff to write our guest names out for my perfect little name holder things (?) Anyone else have a husband who has beautiful handwriting? And I write like a six year old. lol  I just noticed the random lysol bottle. It adds a nice touch, don’tcha think? I try and use items around the house to create a table display. It can get pretty pricey buying new decor everytime I want to change out the table decor.

My mom is flying in for Christmas and I can’t wait for us all sit around the table as a family. With Jeff being in the Marines we don’t always get to spend the holidays with family. I can’t remember the last time we flew home for Christmas.
